Meet the Team
Duncan qualified in the treatment, management and avoidance of movement injuries in 1997. To expand his knowledge and understanding of foot and lower limb disorders he undertook an honors degree in Podiatry/Chiropody in 2000.
Podiatrists are professionals who specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of lower limb pain which may be related to poor foot function.
The clinic has the knowledge and facilities to diagnose and treat each patient appropriate to their needs. General practice chiropody will always be essential for more familiar foot complaints. Chiropody services are available as home visits.
Body & Sole can supply or advise on treatment plans for any foot or lower limb ailment. Call in or ring for an appointment. We are here to keep you mobile and pain free.
Specialised insoles (orthotics) can be advised upon and prescribed where appropriate. These devices improve foot function and can ease knee, hip or lower back pain.
Having qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of Ulster in 2009, I am committed to providing a quality service to enhance each client’s health. I am focused on the importance of a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, by listening to and focusing on a client’s individual problem, I can devise a treatment protocol consisting of manual therapy and exercises.
With the goal of easing pain, improving movement patterns and preventing re-occurrence of the injury, to ensure a return to normal daily activities as quickly as possible. Treatment may involve a combination of Mobilisation, Manipulation, Massage, Myofascial/Trigger point release, Acupuncture or Sports Tapping, providing pain relief, restoring range of movement and enhancing flexibility for a wide range of conditions.
I am a qualified Pilates instructor with experience of providing safe progressive rehabilitation programmes throughout the treatment process, allowing the client to be at the centre of condition management, improving long term health, increasing client awareness and helping to prevent re-occurrence of the injury/problem.
